Paul Weiss' latest partnership class contained 28 lawyers globally, eight of them in London: Marco Bagnato and Matthew Wilson in finance, Jamie Chambers and Rohit Pisal in tax, Lauren O’Brien and James Parkinson in antitrust, Hein Visser in M&A and Hannah Wilson in investment funds.

Why should I care?

This is a new strategy for the firm. The 2023-25 version of the Paul Weiss story was fundamentally about buying a platform, recruiting established partners from rivals. The 2026 signal is that it is beginning to build its own depth. Promoting finance, tax, antitrust, M&A and funds lawyers says the firm wants London to be capable of supporting a transaction from several angles without relying indefinitely on imported rainmakers.
